About the author: Mary Ellen Willburn, a retired early childhood educator and parent of three children, resides with her husband in Houston, TX. Freddie was the mischievous family pet who entertained and protected them. Since retiring, Mary Ellen has been pursuing some of her lifelong dreams one of which is writing children's books. Texas Freddie is her first book. About the illustrator: Bonnie Deming began painting watercolors in 1997. This is the first book she has illustrated. She and her husband make their home in Houston, TX, and have two grown children. Some of her watercolors may be viewed on this web site.
